Car park

The car park  (outside link to streetmap.co.uk) is situated just outside dunked on the road to Blairgowrie, and is signposted from the road

Route description

From the Cally car park head north up the track (signposted loch Ordie, The Glack) – a slow and relatively gentle incline keeps taking you gradually upwards and northwards – you pass several small lochans before you finally  meet loch Ordy. – This route is suitable for families, but note you do pass through livestock filled fields (sheep and some deer), so it's not suitable for dogs off leads.

Loch ordy

At the bridge at the south end of loch Ordy, head left and keep following this all the way around the loch. The terrain is not quite so good here - grassy path with lots of ruts and muddy sections. but the scenic views of Loch Ordy and the surrounding hills make it worthwhile particularly on a sunny day.

From loch Ordy you can head back the way you came or head west down towards the A9 if you want a slightly more exciting descent (there is a cycle path along the A9 all the way to Dunkeld (or Perth!) There is a map at the car park which shows all the various possibilities.
