Taysde Fife Lothian/borders Aberdeenshire Highlands Stirlingshire

View from Kinnoull hillKinnoull Hill, Perth

A shared area used by a lot of walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Stay in control and respect other path users.

You can start at a number of points - either the base of Kinnoull hill (see map) or at the Jubilee car park (see map)

There are so many interconnecting trails and variations that it is impossible to list a specific route. The area is very popular with mountain bikers and also with night biking enthusiasts

At the back of Deuchny woods there are some specific, if short, mountain biking areas, where air enthusiasts can test their nerve and travel.

For beginners the fire roads around Deuchny woods offer plenty of practice, and the area generally is a good area to practice your skills

For the more adventurous there is one particular steep single-track route. Start at the viewpoint (see map) and head down the hill as though you were heading to Perth. after only 10-15 yards there is a narrow but obvious left turn. Keep following the path, bearing generally left and follow the path down. eventually you come out near Branklyn gardens (Note - this path is very close to the cliff edge, can be slippery when wet and is not way marked - you follow this route entirely at your own risk (as you do all the routes in this site))
