Distance - 12 miles - 75 % single track Diffculty - moderate-hard Car Park - see map (streetmap.co.uk external link) Graded black this is a rocky route which makes it very slippery in the wet. There is a lot of climbing in the first half that will take you right to the summit of Minch moor (streetmap external link) There are rocky step ups, drop offs and several sections of uneven rocky areas to traverse which make this a far more challenging route than either then red route or black route at Glentress. That said, despite it being only 5-10 minutes drive from Glentress it is much quieter than Glentress on a Saturday and offers some fantastic riding with glorious single track, some very very fast descents from the top of Minch moor and splendid views, and a breathtaking descent back to Innerleithen. Videos - filmed on a very wet muddy day so they are not as clear as they might be - worth watching for fall at the end of the 3rd video - I am still typing but a nasty wound on my hand will take a few weeks to heal (that's with gloves on)
